Background to the Trigono-Lamda Groves

Welcome to trigonogroves.com, the website for the Trigono-Lamda Groves which are situated near Methoni on the Peloponnese in Greece.

The website was set up to enable us to share our work and has developed to include information and comment on the Methoni area and the wider Messinia and Peloponnese development. Pages on Greece culture, design and places to visit reflect a personal interest in those subjects and provide a context for Life in Methoni.

From Ancient times there has been an idea that to be "Greek" does not necessarily to have been born in Greece, but to have a certain mentality. This may seem a strange concept to some, but to those who feel a strong affinity with Greece it is a happy idea.

I hope this site will encourage those who aim to renovate a property, make a garden, preserve wildlife or just visit and enjoy the Peloponnese.

The 2010 challenge!

The challenge through 2010 was to balance the activities of preservation of the Wildlife at the Trigono Groves and making a sufficient income to cover the costs. It has not been possible to make an income through the Online Shop but we're hoping to transport some olive oil from Lamda in the UK, if the cost of transport is not prohibitive.

Instead, the trips planned for June and September were cancelled. It has therefore been a tough year, not knowing how things are progressing in Greece, but has given the opportunity to explore the UK a little more.
